Hardik Pandya climbs in latest ICC men’s T20I rankings

As per the latest ICC Men’s T20 Player Rankings released on Wednesday, India’s all-rounder cricketers Hardik Himanshu Pandya and Washington Sundar, along with left-arm fast-medium bowler Arshdeep Singh, have been selected for the latest rankings.

On October 6th in Gwalior, India cruised to a 49-run victory over Bangladesh in the series opener. Arshdeep Singh and Varun Chakravarthy collectively took 6 wickets, while Hardik Pandya played a pivotal role in the run chase, scoring a quickfire 39 not out.

All-rounder Pandya’s 16-ball knock included 5 fours and 2 sixes, which helped him climb seven spots to 60th in the latest T20I batting rankings. Australia’s Travis Head still holds the No. 1 ranking.

Meanwhile On 9th October in Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi India secured a massive 86-run victory in the 3-match T20I series, securing an unassailable 2-0 lead. India’s top three batters struggled in powerplay, but Nitish Reddy (74) and Rinku Singh’s (53) partnership helped them secure a 108-run stand.

In the latest rankings for T20I all-rounders, Pandya also claimed a wicket and moved up 4 places to 3rd overall.
Left-arm fast-medium bowler Arshdeep was also a big winner in the latest rankings update, rising eight places to equal eighth on the updated list for T20I bowlers and achieving a new career-high rating following his 3-wicket haul against Bangladesh.

Sundar climbed four spots to reach 35th on the list, while experienced spinner Adil Rashid maintains the No. 1 ranking after the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in June and England’s home series against Australia last month.

The latest ODI Player Rankings have seen some minor adjustments following the conclusion of the three-match series between South Africa and Ireland in Abu Dhabi.

Although South Africa clinched the series 2-1, a trio of Irish players made significant gains in this week’s rankings update after their 69-run victory in the final match. Curtis Campher moved up two spots to 62nd in the ODI batting rankings after contributing a solid 34 runs in that game.

Meanwhile, Craig Young jumped 12 places to 44th, and Graham Hume climbed 23 spots to 47th in the ODI bowling rankings, with both players taking three wickets against South Africa.
