India stands in the way of Kiwis eyeing the Champions Trophy

The journey of the Champions Trophy is now in its final stage and two teams—India and New Zealand—have entered the final to capture the trophy. The final will be played in Dubai on March 9. New Zealand and India will face each other for the second time in the final of the Champions Trophy, these two teams also clashed in the final 25 years ago, where New Zealand defeated India to win the trophy.

Now after 25 years, once again both the teams have entered the final. So, India now has a chance to take revenge. It remains to be seen whether India will complete its revenge by settling 25 years old accounts with New Zealand or New Zealand will once again capture the trophy by defeating India.

Entering the final

India defeated Australia to reach the final, while New Zealand secured their spot by defeating South Africa. A total of 8 teams participated in the Champions Trophy, out of which 4 teams were eliminated in the first round itself. India, New Zealand, Australia and South Africa entered the semi-final match.

Now in the final match, India defeated Australia to capture the trophy and New Zealand defeated South Africa to enter the final. Now the wait is for March 9 and it remains to be seen whether India takes revenge on New Zealand for a 25-year-old loss or once again New Zealand defeats India and captures the trophy.

Mohammed Shami has more responsibility

Indian team’s fast bowler Mohammad Shami has more responsibility as the main fast bowler, but still he is trying his best to regain his rhythm so that he can meet the needs of the team in the Champions Trophy. Shami, who returned after recovering from injury, handled the new ball with Harshit Rana or Hardik Pandya during the Champions Trophy in the absence of injured Jasprit Bumrah.

The Countdown to March 9 Begins

The final match of the Champions Trophy will be played on March 9 from 2:30 pm. The captains of both the teams will come to toss at 2 pm. The match will be broadcast live on JioCinema.
