The Marvel fan community is abuzz with the leaked images of ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ concept art. The leaked art proved major spoilers for fans unveiling potential character designs and plot directions. The leaked artwork circulating online on various social media platforms had fans discussing the possible future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
The concept art depicts Robert Downey Jr., playing the notorious villain Victor, Von Doom (Dr. Doom) sitting on a throne in the backdrop of a medieval era in Latveria. The armor showcased in the art bears a resemblance to the ‘Superior Iron Man’ design, suggesting a fusion of Stark’s technology with Doom’s persona.
While this wasn’t the only highlight of some other characters can also be spotted in the image with Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic) shackled in chains captured by Yelena Belova and Dr. Strange serving as the enforcer of Dr. Doom.
Fans were also intrigued by the return of the Black Panther in the MCU, not in the way they would’ve expected. A new variant of the character will be played by actor Damson Idris who was speculated to step into the shoes of the Wakandan Protector after Chadwick Boseman’s demise. This also points to the earlier reports claiming Marvel was eyeing a different actor to portray the role of Tchalla.
Furthermore, popular characters such as Star Lord, Vision, Skaar and She Hulk also seem to be making their return to the franchise after their previous projects.
The artwork also sets the stage for the introduction of Young Avengers in the MCU with Wong serving as the leader/ mentor of the superhero faction. Introduction of new characters like Speed and Doop hints at an expansive narrative that could intertwine various story arcs from the Marvel universe.
There has been no official comment regarding the leaked concept art from Marvel Studios, while fans are debating about the authenticity of these leaks. The images were reportedly posted by Mushk Rizvi, a concept artist affiliated with Marvel on Art Station before being promptly removed, further adding to their credibility.
