Sanju Samson and SKY Explosive Innings, India’s Clean Sweep Against Bangladesh

In the third and final match of the three-match T20 series between India and Bangladesh, India defeated Bangladesh by 113 runs to clean sweep the series. Batting first after winning the toss at the Rajiv Gandhi Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad, the Indian team put up an impressive total of 297 runs for the loss of 6 wickets against Bangladesh.

This is India’s highest score in T20 matches so far. Abhishek Sharma scored 4 runs. Sanju Samson scored 111 runs off 47 balls with the help of 11 fours and 8 sixes before getting caught out, while captain Suryakumar Yadav scored 75 runs off 35 balls with 8 fours and 5 sixes. Additionally, Riyan Parag scored 34 runs off 13 balls with 4 sixes and 1 four, while Hardik Pandya contributed 47 runs off 18 balls with 4 fours and 4 sixes. Birthday boy Rinku Singh hit a six on the last ball, making the crowd cheer.

In response, Bangladesh managed to score only 164 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs, thus allowing India to clinch the series 3-0. For Bangladesh, Towhid Hridoy scored the highest with 63 runs, and Liton Das contributed 42 runs.

Mayank Yadav took 2 wickets for 32 runs in 4 overs, while Ravi Bishnoi grabbed 3 wickets for 30 runs in 4 overs, including a maiden over. Washington Sundar and Nitish Reddy also took one wicket each.

25 Fours and 22 Sixes Hit
In the first innings, the Indian team scored a total of 297 runs with the help of 25 fours and 22 sixes.

Sanju Samson’s Century
After disappointing performances in the previous two matches of the series, Sanju Samson played a crucial role in the final match, scoring a brilliant century with 11 fours and 8 sixes, helping the team reach a strong total. Sanju Samson became the second fastest to score a century in T20 matches for India, after Rohit Sharma. He completed his century in around 40 balls and scored 111 runs off 47 balls before getting caught out. During his innings, he hit leg-spinner Rishad Hossain for five consecutive sixes.
