Born on July 28, 2004, in Uttar Pradesh, Nigam’s cricketing journey isn’t about overnight fame but of persistence, hard work and patience to seize the moment.
During the 2024-25 season of the Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Nigam gained national recognition for his impressive playing style. He represented Uttar Pradesh and delivered a classy all-round performance against Andhra Pradesh in the match. He managed to take two wickets by just giving 20 runs and also scored an astounding total of 27 off just 8 deliveries, snatching victory from the jaws of defeat. His clutch finish not only led to his team’s victory but also gained him the golden ticket to the Indian Premier League.
Delhi Capitals (DC) eyed the young gun at the 2025 IPL auction and bought Nigam for ₹50 lakh. Nigam made sure to meet the expectations of DC management. Currently, Nigam has played 15 T20 matches across various formats, including domestic leagues and the IPL. In these matches, he has taken 15 wickets at an average of 24.93 and an economy rate of 7.45. His best bowling figures are 2/18.
